Some weddings feel like a celebration, while others feel like a meeting of worlds. Tom and Naina’s destination wedding in Sri Lanka was beautifully both.

With Naina coming from South India and Tom travelling from the UK, their wedding brought together two cultures, families and communities in the relaxed beauty of Sri Lanka. Set against tropical gardens, swaying palms and the ocean, the celebration felt intimate, warm and effortlessly joyful.

From the very beginning, the wedding had a distinctly personal character. Guests gathered outdoors as live musicians played, creating a relaxed atmosphere before the celebrations unfolded. The soft pastel palette, elegant florals and tropical surroundings complemented the couple’s modern, understated style.

The ceremony moved between the lush gardens and the beach, with the Sri Lankan coastline providing a beautiful backdrop for their vows. One of our favourite moments was watching Tom and Naina walk back down the aisle together, surrounded by their closest friends and family — spontaneous, joyful and completely unposed.

For us at Keys and Blacks, photographing Tom and Naina was about more than documenting how the day looked. It was about preserving how it felt — the laughter, the anticipation, the happy chaos of guests, and those quieter moments between the couple and their families.

Their wedding is a reminder of what makes destination weddings so special: bringing people from different places together and creating memories in a place that becomes part of the story forever.
